I am visiting family in Puerto Rico this week and staying at my childhood home. As I type this I am sitting on a recliner in what used to be my bedroom. The space feels incredibly small and lots of random thoughts are flooding my brain. Being here brought some memories of the times I spent in deep introspection while I was still a little kid. “Who am I?” “What does it mean to be alive?” “What’s my purpose?” were some of the questions I would ask myself over and over. I would sit on the front stairs of my house, look at the horizon, and wonder about what else was out there to explore.
Certainly curiosity, opportunity, and a quest for purpose have been present in every stage of my life and my career. But my journey has also been filled with uncertainty, the unknown, and the unexpected.
